Strait2U Parcel Service

With Strait2U Parcel Receiving Services, you’ll save time and money. Simply use our address as your “ship to” destination. There are no international shipping delays or international shipping charges for shipments delivered directly to Strait2U. You’ll be notified by email as soon as your parcels have arrived and are ready for pickup.

Our office is located on Allen Road in Allen Park.  Allen Road runs between Southfield Road and Eureka.  We are 10 minutes to the  shopping area on Eureka Road in Taylor and Southgate. You can drive straight from our office south on Allen Road right to Eureka.  We are also a 5 minute drive from the shopping district at Fairlane Green in Allen Park, at Southfield and Outer Drive. We are 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic, from shopping on Ford Road east of Southfield in Dearborn.  You can now incorporate your parcel pickup from our office during your normal shopping schedule.

We will take feedback from our customers regarding what are normal days and times for shopping in the US. We will then  adjust our office hours and days to coincide with your schedule. We hope this is helpful, please let us know if there are ways to make your experience more convenient.

Strait2U offers convenient hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9am-5pm
  • These hours will expand as the need arises

Directions:

  • From the Ambassador Bridge: Go South on I-75 to Southfield Rd., Exit 41 (15 minutes). Turn right on Southfield Rd. You will pass two main intersections within a mile and half once on Southfield. The first is Dix Toledo Rd. and the second is Allen Rd. Once you pass Allen Rd., stay to the left for a quarter mile and you will see Roosevelt Rd. Turn left on Roosevelt. Stay on Roosevelt and it becomes Allen Rd. as you go through the first main intersection.  Travel approximately 1 mile and our building is on the right just before you get to Champaign. We are right next to the KFC, which you will see first.
  • From the Tunnel: Turn left onto Jefferson (South) once you exit the tunnel. Proceed on Jefferson as it merges on to the Lodge Freeway South. Once on the Lodge Freeway, take the first exit which is I-75 South.  Go South on I-75 to Southfield Rd., Exit 41 (15 minutes). Turn right on Southfield Rd. You will pass two main intersections within a mile and half once on Southfield. The first is Dix Toledo Rd. and the second is Allen Rd. Under 50 lbs. $4.00 per parcel*
50-100 lbs. $8.00 per parcel*
100-150 lbs. $12.00 per parcel*
150-200 lbs. $16.00 per parcel*
Tires $5.00 per tire or $20 for 4 tires

We accept Canadian currency, and if you pay with Canadian currency we will provide change in Canadian currency. We do not charge  any fees for currency exchange.

 

*An additional handling fee of $2.00 will be applied to parcels:

  • Greater than 20″ long on two sides or 36″ on one side
  • Require extra storage space due to unusual shape or configuration

SHIPPING PARCELS – It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. As required by United States Post Office, address your package EXACTLY as shown below. Otherwise, your parcel will be refused by the Post Office and returned to sender.

  3. Wait for our e-mail notification, then pick up your parcel (See our hours).

IMPORTANT

  • Please submit your information to us so that we are aware who is receiving packages and where to contact you upon receipt
  • When we receive your registration, we will respond within 24hours with your unique customer ID number.
  • You only need to register once. We keep your information on file so you can continue using the same customer ID number for any subsequent shipments.
  • Photo ID will be required when picking up your parcel or shipment.

Q. How do I sign up for your receiving service?

A. It's easy! Simply register here with your full name and contact information and you can immediately place an order the same day using your name and our address for the shipping!

Q. How do I use my Canadian credit card to make US purchases if my shipping and billing addresses don’t match?

A. No problem! Contact the bank that issued your credit card and add a secondary address – Strait2U Parcel’s address – to your file.

Q. Can someone pick my parcel up for me? 

A. Yes, provided they bring the email notification from us for each parcel they wish to pick up.

Q. How can I pay when I come to pick up?

A. We accept US and Canadian cash, MasterCard and VISA. There is a $10.00 minimum plus a $1.00 fee for all credit card transactions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

STORAGE FEES:
Due to space limitations, packages that are not picked up within 14 days will be subject to additional fees. The fee will equal the price of the package(s), up to an additional week of storage. After 60 days the parcel will be considered Abandoned.

ABANDONED PARCELS:
If we cannot reach you and your package has not been picked up after 60 days we will donate abandoned parcels to local charities.

DAMAGED PARCELS:
If a parcel arrives with visible damage to the packaging we will note it in the Parcel Notification Email that we send to you. If a parcel arrives with a high likelihood of damage to the contents of the box we will refuse the shipment and notify you of said refusal.

OVER-SIZED / UNUSUAL SHAPED PARCELS:
Longer than 3 feet or two sides longer than 20 inches will be charged an additional handling fee of $2.00. Unusual shaped parcels that require storage in a special place will warrant an additional charge of $2.00.

PACKAGES SHIPPED WITHOUT A NAME:
We will do everything we can to find the owner of the parcel. However, if we are unable to locate you by reasonable means (which includes opening the package to find paperwork), the package will be considered an abandoned parcel and will be subject to the 60-day Terms, after only 30 days in our facility. Use only the name/names with the associated ID number, to help ensure proper e-mail notification.

INSURANCE:
You must provide insurance for your items while they are being stored at our facility. We do not provide third-party insurance. Be sure your insurance policy covers your goods when at Strait2U Parcel’s Parcel. Cash, jewelry or items of priceless nature are not permitted to be shipped through most common carriers. If you do ship such items you do so at your own risk.

ILLEGAL GOODS:
We do not condone illegal trade or activity (as defined by US Federal, State or City ordinance) conducted through our normal operations. We will not hesitate to report any and all suspected illegal activities to the applicable law enforcement agencies. Packages may be opened if there is a reason to believe that a package may contain dangerous or illegal goods.

FIRE AND THEFT:
Strait2U will not be held responsible for any loss through fire, flood, “act of God” or any other event that is not within our control.

COD (Cash on Delivery):
We do not accept COD shipments.

BOX PACKAGING and MATERIAL DISPOSAL:
We will supply recycle bins for recyclables and garbage bins for packaging that is not recyclable. Excessive packaging may be subject to additional charges for disposal.

CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE:
We will from time to time review and determine the need to change our Terms of Service. We will then make every attempt possible to inform our customers in a timely manner. Changes will be posted to the Terms of Service on our web page and posted in a highly visible area at our facility, as well.

EMAIL NOTIFICATION:
Email notifications are sent as a courtesy to you. Please track all of your orders to ensure you know when they have arrived and allow 24 hours for processing. Strait2U Parcel is not responsible for making sure your email notification has reached you. We will not waive pickup or storage fees if you have not received notification.

MISSING PARCELS:
We sign for all UPS, FedEx and freight shipments and take responsibility for reimbursement in case of loss. Please be advised that Strait2U Parcel only signs for USPS parcels that require a signature (e.g., certified mail). If not signed for, we DO NOT take responsibility for reimbursement in the case of lost or mis-delivered parcels.

POSTAGE DUE:
If your item comes through the Post Office with postage due owing on it, we will cover the amount. However, the amount will be added to your total invoice and you will be advised of such action in your notification email.
